You don't always have to have Maysha there. Once you sit on your own Porch, her perspective really doesn't matter anyway. Yours does.

Talks happen in person whenever possible and over Zoom when the porch has to stretch.

Maysha has been following Story since long before she had language for what she was doing.

Picture her small: a Tonka truck RV parked in the grass near trees, a little girl looking toward the stars, already fascinated by cosmology and astrology, already imagining Egypt and the world at large, already knowing she wanted to write, travel, and somehow open possibilities for others without ever telling them who they should be.

Music was there too. Her daddy dreamed of Nashville. She sang, played, wrote, and performed. But Maysha’s own Story kept widening. Writer. Teacher of some sort. Maybe something beyond teacher that we simply don’t have the right word for yet.

A Being who could look at something familiar, move a little farther out in Perspective, and suddenly see another way the Story could be told. And who understood that this was her Story, her Perspective. Someone else’s would be at least a little different.

That is the whole point.

She grew up in a rural setting, with dogs and cats underfoot, birds overhead, and water never very far away. Born on a river, raised around rivers and lakes, she eventually fell thoroughly in love with the ocean. That part of the Story has never stopped feeling Current.

The scenery changed many times, but Story kept finding new ways to be told. There was music, work as a recording artist and hair artist, healthcare, adult education, and seminars. Then came the early Internet, when chatrooms, MSN Groups, dial-up tones, and blogging were still strange new territory. From there, vlogging, podcasting, producing, photography, video, history, books, performance, and promotion all found their way into the picture. Country widened into gospel, praise and worship, liturgical music, and blues. She helped historical authors bring their work into print and spent years creating platforms through which Stories, ideas, and Perspectives could be shared.

Not because life had to become difficult before it could become meaningful.

Quite the opposite.

Maysha’s work now lives in the recognition that struggle is not the price of admission, the past is not the author of the Present, and Story does not stop at the edge of one chapter. Energy moves. Awareness expands. Every Now is a whole new quantum equation. Light reorganizes, bringing forward what still belongs and allowing what no longer belongs to become fuel for the Story emerging Now.

That is the spiral. Around, out, and up. Not back to repair the last turn. Not forward to finally become enough. Whole Conscious Energy, already Being, becoming perceptible through another Perspective, another image, another conversation, another Now.

At one point, in the clear channeled knowing that has shaped so much of her work, Energy gave Maysha two words for herself:

Joy Bringer.

Over time, she came to understand joy differently too.

Joy is not something awarded after surviving enough Story. Joy is Energy, Just Right. Progressing. Moving. Interesting. Curious. Full of Wonder. The Magic that allows Everything to Be.

Joy is what Energy feels emerging in tactilty when it is stable enough to be experienced. Fluid enough to keep moving.

Serenity with movement in it. Calm excitement.

Light organized in a way that feels good enough to stay with and alive enough to keep becoming Gooder.

That is what she writes about.

That is what her Front Porch talks are about.

That is what the Front Porch of the Milky Way has become: a place to widen Perspective enough to notice that the ordinary is actually the extraordinary; that we are each Hues of Light, Being, whole and unique; and that no one else can tell you exactly what your Story should be because no one else can Be your Perspective.

Every Perspective is essential to the Story of the All.

Joy comes through the inclusion of All, aware of upright causality.
